William and Kate married today. I didnt get up at 4:30 am to watch.. to be honest, I actually slept later than I usually do, so I missed the ceremony. From the highlights I have seen though, the dress was pretty, plenty of people and LOTS of hats. I've never been a Royal Watcher. I remember when Charles and Diana got married, and certainly remember her untimely death, but other than that, couldnt tell you who was coming or going in the Royal family.
Jim asked me today if all girls wanted to be princesses. I never wanted to be a princess... too much of a tom-boy, too little self-esteem... I just never pictured myself as a princess as a young girl. I guess I am a self-proclaimed princess now though, since I am the only female in our home...
I found myself thinking about another Royal Wedding today... one where the Bridegroom will soon come get his Bride. The same anticipation, the same joy, minus the media.... When Jesus comes, it will be only Royal Wedding that matters.
